The JEATH War Museum in Kanchanaburi is the typical monument to “Man’s inhumanity to man”. Housed in a replica POW barracks, a long line of photos, paintings, drawings, maps, and newspaper articles tell the story of the lives of the POWs working on the Death Railway. But it’s incongruous details, like the boat above hiding around a corner, that give a peek into the lives of the staff having to man this museum day in and day out.
