Catfish feeding frenzy. The shores, banks, and lands of Thailand’s temples are protected spaces, animals may not be hunted, fished, or killed in these sacred spaces. And the catfish have a good reason. When you feed them, you are tossing away your bad luck, casting it off from yourself while doing a good deed. By eating one of these protected catfish, you would be accepting all of the bad luck they have collected over the years back into yourself.
